Ted Barnes is a guitarist and composer best known for his work with Beth Orton, the lead singer of Portishead. In 2005 Barnes released his first solo work under the title of "Underbelly" on Sketchbook Records.
A completely instrumental affair, it was critically acclaimed. Three years later, Barnes released a third album featuring instrumental numbers as well as collaborations with Francoiz Breut, Dan Michaelson, Beth Orton, Gavin Clark, Kathryn Williams and mixed by Sebastian Rogers.
