Sergei Mikhailovich Nakariakov is a Russian trumpet virtuoso, widely regarded as one of the greatest trumpet players of his generation. Born in 1977 in Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod), Russia, Nakariakov showed extraordinary talent from a young age, quickly gaining recognition for his exceptional technique and musicality.
Nakariakov’s repertoire spans from classical trumpet concertos to modern and contemporary works. He is particularly noted for his performances of trumpet concertos by composers such as Neruda, Hummel, and Shostakovich, often adding his own unique interpretation and flair to these pieces.
In addition to his impressive performance career, Sergei Nakariakov is a passionate advocate for contemporary trumpet music and has been instrumental in commissioning new works for the trumpet. He has recorded extensively, with many of his albums receiving critical praise for their brilliance and depth.
