Janine Jansen is a Dutch violinist renowned for her exceptional technical skill and passionate performances. Born in 1978 in the Netherlands, Jansen began playing the violin at the age of six and quickly demonstrated extraordinary talent. She went on to study at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and further developed her skills in London.


Throughout her career, Jansen has performed with some of the world’s most prestigious orchestras and conductors, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. She has appeared in renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, captivating audiences with her expressive playing. Jansen’s extensive discography includes acclaimed recordings of works by composers such as Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Stravinsky, showcasing her versatility in both romantic and modern violin concertos.


Janine Jansen is dedicated to fostering the next generation of musicians and often engages in educational activities, including masterclasses and outreach programs. She is also known for her commitment to promoting lesser-known works by contemporary composers, broadening the scope of the violin repertoire.
