The harpist Catrin Finch was born in Wales in 1980 and was a child prodigy. In 2000 she was appointed official harpist to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, now King Charles III of Great Britain.

Catrin Finch was born in Llanon in Wales and began learning the harp at the age of six. Her mother is German and her father English, and she is a fluent Welsh speaker. She passed her grade VIII harp examination at the age of nine, became a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain at just ten. She then studied at the Purcell School and then the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Finch has had a highly accomplished recording and live career with highlights from playing a pink electric harp at the 60th birthday celebrations of Welsh composer Karl Jenkins to touring Patagonia with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
