Andre Rieu (1933 - 2020) was a Dutch violinist, conductor & composer. He is famous for creating an international revival in waltz music & a series of successful DVD & CD recordings.
In 1987, he create the Johann Strauss Orchestra & his own production company. His lively & colourful orchestral presentations have attracted worldwide audiences to classical music that may not initially have been drawn to that genre.
